The BankID app replaces the BankID merchant's code unit if the customer has BankID from a bank that offers our app. The user selects the regular BankID in the method selector, approves the login within the app, and then enters their personal password. The app is a so-called "Silent-OTP" where the user can approve a login or signature on the phone instead of entering a code from a physical code unit. Merchants with BankID do not need to take any action to enable the BankID app if they are already using BankID on their website.
