BankID delivers the future of digital signatures
Signing with BankID has been upgraded with a new user interface and technical platform to meet the EU’s strictest requirements.

Secure agreements. Valid across Europe
Digital signing with BankID meets the EU’s strictest requirements for trust services — making your signature legally valid across Europe and fully equivalent to a handwritten one.

Sign multiple documents in one go
Related documents can now be signed together — making the process faster, easier, and more cost-efficient. You only pay for one signature.

Accessible and mobile-friendly by design
Our upgraded interface ensures improved accessibility and mobile optimization — making digital signing easier for everyone.
Introduced this autumn
The new signing experience is being gradually introduced, so availability may vary. Contact your reseller to learn when you’ll get access.
Why Signing from BankID?
Give your customers the best signing experience
The new version of BankID signing is designed for accessibility, ease of use, and efficient execution, for both end users and service providers. The interface has been redesigned to meet current standards for digital accessibility and works well across different devices and screen sizes.
The solution is better adapted to users with varying needs, making the signing process more inclusive and accessible to all.
Developer friendly technology
BankID signing has been rebuilt from the ground up using modern frameworks, making it quick and simple to integrate into your system.
The service is based on the OpenID Connect standard — a well-established and widely used framework for identity services. It can also be integrated via the Cloud Signature Consortium standard, though this option does not include a user interface.
Authentication, signing and timestamping included
BankID signing includes authentication as part of the signing flow. This means you only need one agreement to get started with electronic signing, and with integrated BankID authentication, you can be certain of who signed the document.
Qualified timestamping is also included when using our user interface. The timestamp confirms exactly when the document was signed and cannot be altered afterward.
If you choose to integrate via the Cloud Signature Consortium standard, a separate agreement for timestamping is required.

New user interface with easier navigation
Know exactly who signed
With BankID Signing, you get a legally grounded and technically secure signature that meets the requirements for qualified electronic signing. BankID is a Qualified Trust Service Provider (QTSP) listed in the EU Trust List, meaning signatures from BankID are legally equivalent to handwritten ones throughout the EU and EEA.
You get verified information about who signed, when it happened, and confirmation that the document hasn’t been altered after signing. It’s secure, auditable, and helps you meet regulatory requirements in both public and private sectors.

Use our full solution, or tailor it to your needs
BankID Signing is available as a complete OpenID Connect-based solution, including authentication and a user interface for end users, or as a raw component based on the Cloud Signature Consortium (CSC) standard. Both options can be integrated into third-party systems, such as specialized business platforms.
Regardless of which option you choose, both are compatible with the eIDAS 2.0 standard and support qualified electronic signing. Contact us for more information about the CSC integration.
