Who does this apply to?

This applies to most users of the BankID app.

It does not apply:

• persons under 18
• people who only use a code device
• people with foreign passports. If you receive a notification in the app and you have a foreign passport, you can ignore it. A technical solution is being developed for this group.
  
  Those who are covered by the ID verification will receive a notification directly in the BankID app explaining what they need to do. Users who are not asked to confirm their identity do not need to do anything.

The requirements to confirm identity do not currently apply to users of the BankID app who are under 18 years of age, or to users with a foreign passport. Those who only use a code device with BankID are also not included. ID verification solutions for these groups are being developed and will be launched at a later date.
